Madeleine Brown
Jeweller-in-residence Madeleine Brown has been working as a maker and designer
of bespoke jewellery for around seven years.
Shortly after completing a degree in Gold and Silversmithing
at the Queensland College of Art in 2001 she established her
first workshop in Paddington, Brisbane.
After a couple of years spent travelling and working as a
commercial jewellery designer in Edinburgh, Madeleine was
eager to settle back into her own practice in Brisbane, collecting
client’s stories and designing and creating one-off
pieces to match them.
Inspired by patterns in nature, unusual textures and mechanical
movements, Madeleine works in gold, silver and a variety of
precious and semi-precious stones to create unique pieces
of jewellery that capture her clients personal stories.
Madeleine Brown is available for design consultation
and commissions 10am-4pm Wednesday – Saturday at KILN
Gallery.
Visit www.mbhandmade.com
or pop in to the gallery to view examples of Madeleine's work.
